AYZA Wine and Chocolate Bar

LOCATION: 11 West 31st St. New York, NY

CATEGORY: Wine Bar/ Cheese and Small Plates

FAVORITES: Aged Manchego/Shropshire Blue/Tete de Moine Cheese Plate and Chopped Mediterranean Salad

COMMENTS: Went on a Wednesday night with a friend and started off with two glasses of Shooting Star Syrah (discounted with our coupon found online). The wine was a perfect start to compliment our cheese plate above that also included tasty jellied figs. The second item we ordered and shared was the Chopped Mediterranean salad, which was refreshing and light during a hot summer day on the restaurant's patio. Our last dish was the sea bass that was sent back after two bites of discovering a nasty fishy taste. Yuck! The waitress was also not pleased with us sending it back, saying "but it's the sea bass." Fish should never taste fishy! We didn't make it to the dessert, which they are known for, so I will definitely have to make it back for a second time.
